The school site council plays an important role in decision-making, and helps develop, review, and evaluate school improvement programs. The members of the site council are teachers, parents, community members, and the principal. We invite you to join us for this unique opportunity. Theodore Roosevelt Site Council Meeting Dates
- September 15, 2026 – Noon at TR
- November 10, 2026 – Noon at TR
- January 20, 2027 – 5:15 pm at Lincoln Education Center
- March 9, 2027 – Noon at TR
1. Schools are required to have a site council per Kansas Statute 72-5170 and USD 383 School Board Policy IB: School Site Councils.
2. School site councils are composed of the principal and representatives of teachers and other school personnel, parents of students attending the school, the business community and other community groups.
3. The focus of the school site council is to provide input and feedback during every
step of the School Improvement process including:
- Review school/district/state performance goals and objectives
- Monitor goal area progress and implementation of the District’s Strategic Plan
- Make recommendations regarding budgetary items and school building matters
